Kips Bay Show House

Each year, celebrated interior designers transform a luxury Manhattan home into a must-see design exhibition. The most prestigious show house in the United States, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has raised over $22 million for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club since its inception in 1973 and is renowned for sparking interior design trends throughout the world.

Brian Gluckstein was proud to support the 47th Annual Show Kips Bay Decorator Show House with his design of the main staircase. The striking spiral, situated under an oculus window, was transformed with a fan-inspired design that appeared to unfold over four storeys. Connecting over 12,000 square feet of living space and walked by every show house visitor, the staircase’s sculptural design was highlighted with the installation of 4,000 hand-crafted brass cherry blossoms which formed a stunning 40-foot mobile.

Princess Margaret Showhome

Brian has designed the Princess Margaret Home Lottery Showhome in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation every fall season since 2013. The showhome, which opens to the public from September to November, is designed from the ground up each year in less than eight months. Visited by more than 70,000 design enthusiasts each season and featured nationally in House and Home magazine, the showhome provides Canadians with fresh inspiration and design ideas every year.

The Princess Margaret Home Lottery has raised over $472 Million in lottery net proceeds to date, allowing the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to become one of the top five cancer research centres in the world. The Princess Margaret lotteries are the largest source of private cancer research funding in Canada and has been critical in leading the way in personalized cancer medicine.
